One of the most coveted outfield prospects in the nation ... a five-tool player who is expected to start in center field for the Tigers as a freshman ... unique combination of speed and raw power with tremendous defensive coverage in the outfield ... timed at 6.6 seconds in the 60-yard dash ... the 15th-round selection of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2005 Major League Baseball Draft ... batted .388 (19-for-49) with a homer and 10 RBI in LSU's fall intrasquad games ... swiped eight bases in 10 tries to lead the squad this fall.

HIGH SCHOOL
A three-time first-team all-state, all-Houston and all-district selection at George Bush High School in Richmond, Texas ...earned four letters in baseball as a centerfielder and three letters in basketball as a forward ... member of the USA Baseball Youth National Olympic gold medal team in 2003 ... collected four hits, scored twice and stole a base in the United States' 11-7 victory over Taiwan in the championship game ... competed in the 2005 High School All-American Baseball Game in Albuquerque, N.M. ... for his high school career, batted .415 with 83 runs scored and 53 stolen bases ... in 2004, hit .405 with three homers and 13 stolen bases ... also maintained a fielding percentage of 1.000 in 113 innings ... coached by Rodney Hernandez.
