COLLEGE: Distinguished himself as a relentless pass-rusher in college…spent two seasons at Southern Arkansas before transferring to Grambling State, sitting out the 2002 season…tallied 52 tackles, 10 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback hurries and one forced fumble in 16 games at Southern Arkansas…finished his career at Grambling with 115 tackles, 13.5 sacks, 30 tackles for loss, 10 quarterback pressures, three forced fumbles, four passes defensed and two blocked kicks in 23 games…participated in the 2005 Las Vegas All-American Classic postseason all-star game…attended the 2005 NFL Combine as the only representative from the SWAC.


2004: Played in 11 games, starting eight at weak-side defensive end…chosen as a defensive captain…recorded 45 tackles and tied for the SWAC lead with a team-high 8.5 sacks…ranked second in the conference with 16 tackles for loss…added three quarterback pressures, one pass defensed and two forced fumbles…blocked two kicks and recorded a safety…selected to the All-American first-team by The NFL Draft Report…named to the All-SWAC first team and the All-Louisiana first team by the Louisiana Sportswriters Association (LSWA)…selected to the Sheridan Broadcasting Network’s Black College All-America team and CollegeSports.com’s All-American team for NCAA Division I-AA schools…recognized as the Tigers’ Defensive Player of the Year.


2003: Played in 12 games at weak-side outside linebacker, starting all of them…led the Tigers with 70 tackles and added five sacks, 14 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and three passes defensed…earned All-Louisiana second-team honors from the LSWA…earned SWAC Defensive Player of the Week and Newcomer of the Week honors by posting 11 tackles, including three for a loss, in the team’s season-opening loss in the Martin Luther King Literacy Classic against San Jose State on August 23.

2002: Sat out while transferring from Southern Arkansas to Grambling State .


2001: Played in eight games for the Muleriders at defensive end…made 27 tackles with four sacks, seven tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries.


2000: Played in eight games as a freshman…made 25 tackles, including 11 for loss, six sacks, seven quarterback hurries, and one forced fumble.


PERSONAL: Single, resides in Grambling, La….nickname is Kenny…lists Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jevon Kearse as his favorite pro athlete “because he is the prototype of the player I want to be”…majored in business management…read books to local elementary schools while in college…enjoys hunting, fishing and working on cars in his free time…attended Gilmer (Texas) High School, where he was a four-sport performer in football, basketball, track and baseball…was a two-time All-East Texas and All-District selection in football…won school’s defensive MVP honors as a senior…holds the school record in the discus…born Kenneth Aaron Pettway in Gilmer, Texas.
