Some of you knew John Doyle as others did not. John Doyle, had two children that went thru the AYA program. His Son "Colt" in our baseball program and his daughter "Chelsea" in our softball program. John was a huge contributor in our softball program. John was responsible for the endless contributions, particularly with our softball field #8. Such items as new bleachers, bleacher covers, shipping containers behind home plate to house equipment, new concrete pads, pitching machines, drag for the fields, numerous monetary donations, including team sponsorships, and list the goes on. Our dear friend and coach passed away this past August the 14th. Our softball family will be dedicating field #8 in John's name as "Doyle Field". You can join us this Sunday 10/26/03 at 3pm for a brief ceremony including John's family and many AYA friends and little girls that he coached over the years, for the dedication of field #8. I will present this plaque to the family and a sign for the field as the director during John's time with AYA and Todd Sorosiak will be introduced and will hang the sign on the field as the new and current director of AYA softball.
